|
Poker is played all over the world Poker has some features of the card games, which were played long ago, but the modern version of the game is a purely American game. There are many variations of Poker, but they differ mostly in details and all follow the same basic principles. If you know the principles of the game well enough you can easily be a winner. Poker is a game of betting and card combinations. In most cases, best hand contains the five highest-ranking cards, but what is considered the best hand can vary in some types of Poker. In High/Low poker the pot can be split by two players. The player who has the strongest hand and the player, who has the weakest hand are the winners. The bets made by the players are added to the pot, which is situated in the center of the table. No player can compete for the pot unless he or she is willing to meet the highest bet made by another player. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. The object of the game is to win the pot. The pot can be won in two different ways. After all bets are in, all players that are still in show their hands. The player who has the strongest hand is the winner. If one of the players make a bet, which is not met by other players, he wins the pot without showing his cards. All cards of the 52 card deck are used. The cards are dealt one at a time, clockwise motion (number of cards varies with game). Aces are high, but aces rank low in the sequence A-2-3-4-5.
